Crooked Beard by TNT Cigars Toro 2/3/18
Appearance
A nice milk chocolate colored wrapper with a few prominent veins. The seams are tightly wrapped. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots. There is also a bit of tooth and the oily sheen can be felt more than seen.
Aroma
Cedar, hay, cocoa powder and a hint of spice on the wrapper.
Dark chocolate and cocoa powder and a faint hint of spice at the foot.
Prelight Draw
Cedar, dark chocolate, raisin,black licorice and cinnamon spice.
1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar with a mild spice note developing. The draw is a bit snug to start. Ash is light gray and mostly tight. A very mild cocoa powder note has joined the profile. The burn was a bit erratic at first but by the 1” point it has almost fully self corrected with the help of simple physics.
2nd
The consistent flavor profile rolls into the 2nd/3rd unchanged. Strength is at medium. Smoke production is at the low end of medium. Draw has opened up nicely and the burn has fully self corrected by midway of the cigar. Spice finally moves up a bit to be in balance. Dark chocolate and coffee notes join the profile midway in the 2nd/3rd.
Final/3rd
A dash of black pepper spice joins the profile. The flavor profile remains consistent through to the nub.
Overall
The Crooked Beard by TNT Cigars provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A well balanced profile with nice flavor. The burn & draw were spot on from the midway point to the nub.

Appearance
The Habano Claro wrapper has a few prominent veins. The seams are tight yet slightly visible. There is a nice oily sheen on the wrapper.
The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.
Aroma
Barnyard and mild spice on the wrapper. Barnyard, cocoa and spice at the foot.
Prelight Draw
Cedar, dried fruit, cream, Good&Plenty candy and warm cinnamon spice.
1st
Initial draws bring notes of cedar with a nice creamy note at the back of the palate. The draw is effortless. Burn line has a slight wave. Strength is in the medium range. The ash is salt&pepper gray and stacked. The candy notes have joined the profile. The dried fruit from the Prelight Draw is joining the profile as well with a bit of citrus tang. The ash held firm til removal.
2nd
The profile is well balanced. The flavor profile remains consistent. The finish is long with notes of cedar, cream, dried fruit, candy and cinnamon spice. Smoke production is at the medium range.
Final/3rd
The flavors remain consistent into the final/3rd and right to the nub.
Overall

Appearance
A milk chocolate brown colored wrapper with only a couple of veins. The seams are fairly tight but visible. It has a nice oil sheen. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.
Aroma
Cedar and spice on the wrapper. Cedar sweetness and spice at the foot.
Prelight Draw
Cedar, earth, sweetness and paprika spice, especially on the lips.
1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar with a faint hint of black pepper spice. The burn line at 1/2” in is perfect. The draw is perfect as well. The ash is light gray and stacked. Strength starts out mild/med. The ash holds firm till removal.
2nd
The ash seems to be tightening up. The flavor profile is still very basic with notes of cedar and black pepper spice equally balanced. Smoke production is at the low end of medium. Strength moves to medium+.
Final/3rd
The flavor profile remains consistent right to the nub.
Overall
The Black Market Illicit Toro TAA 2017 provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A consistent flavor profile with a perfect draw and burn.
Regius Sun Grown Corona 1/21/18
Appearance
Dark chocolate colored wrapper with a couple prominent veins. The seams are tight albeit visible due to the minor mottling(variation in color) which is not a bad thing. It has very little in the way of visible oils.
The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.
Nice color contrast in the bands.
Aroma
Earthy, cocoa, cedar and a faint hint of spice on the wrapper. Earth and cedar with a hint of spice at the foot.
Prelight Draw
Earthy, cedar, licorice and cinnamon spice.
1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar. The draw is a bit snug. The burn is perfect. A faint note of cocoa joins the profile. About a 1/2” in the spice begins to develop. The ash is medium gray and fairly tight with a bit of stacking.
2nd
Strength has settled at medium. Smoke production is at the medium range. Midway through the 2nd/3rd the strength moves to medium+. The draw has opened up nicely at this point as well. The bands remove perfectly as just the right amount of pectin glue was used.
Final/3rd
The balance is spot on. The finish is long with notes of earth, cedar, cocoa and cinnamon spice. The strength moves to med/full.
Overall
The Regius Sungrown Corona provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A nice profile that’s well balanced with a perfect burn and a great draw from the 1/2way point to the nub.
