Appearance
Milk chocolate colored wrapper with a few prominent veins and a light oil sheen. The seams are tight. It has a semi closed foot. The primary band is quite attractive.
Aroma
A heavy barnyard aroma is present on the wrapper. Aroma at the foot is barnyard and a light sweetness.
Prelight Draw
Aged tobacco,dried fruit and licorice.
1st
Initial draws are woody with a hint of white pepper spice developing. The wood leans toward cedar. The draw is firm. Ash is a light gray and mostly tight. The burn has a slight wave. 1/2way thru the 1st the white pepper mellows. Dried apples & bananas make a short but sweet visit.
2nd
Bready notes enter the profile. The white pepper spice transitions to a mild cinnamon. The strength seemed to start at medium+ but has settled in at medium. The finish is basically medium with notes of cedar, bread.with the cinnamon hanging on for a bit longer. The cinnamon becomes more like warm cinnamon late in the 2nd.
Final/3rd
Coffee joins the mix to start the final/3rd. Smoke production is in the medium range throughout.
Overall the AJF Enclave provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A well balanced flavor profile from start to finish.
A big thank you to Vartan(owner) @AmbassadorCigar for the sample for review.
