Appearance
The dark chocolate wrapper has a couple thin veins on the surface. The seams are tightly wrapped. Wrapper has a nice oily sheen. It's well packed with no soft spots.
Aroma
Earth and slight hay on the wrapper. Foot is closed.
Prelight Draw
Earth, cedar, dried fruit, black licorice, espresso and spice.
1st
The initial draws bring notes of earth, faint cedar and some espresso notes as well. There is some spice developing on the finish. Draw is excellent. Burn has a small wave. Ash is light gray and tight.
2nd
The spice has developed into a cinnamon with a dash of black pepper. Smoke production is high.
Dried fruit notes join the profile. The black pepper becomes a little more noticeable.
Final/3rd
Strength is at the low end of med/full. The cedar notes have fully joined the profile.
Overall the Last Call Maduro Geniales provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A complex and balanced flavor profile with a perfect draw.
The Last Call was created as a last cigar of the night and fits that purpose nicely.
