Crooked Beard by TNT Cigars Toro 2/3/18

 Appearance
A nice milk chocolate colored wrapper with a few prominent veins. The seams are tightly wrapped. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots. There is also a bit of tooth and the oily sheen can be felt more than seen.

Aroma
Cedar, hay, cocoa powder and a hint of spice on the wrapper.
Dark chocolate and cocoa powder and a faint hint of spice at the foot.

Prelight Draw
Cedar, dark chocolate, raisin, black licorice and cinnamon spice.

1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar with a mild spice note developing. The draw is a bit snug to start. Ash is light gray and mostly tight. A very mild cocoa powder note has joined the profile. The burn was a bit erratic at first but by the 1” point it has almost fully self corrected with the help of simple physics.

2nd
The consistent flavor profile rolls into the 2nd/3rd unchanged. Strength is at medium. Smoke production is at the low end of medium. Draw has opened up nicely and the burn has fully self corrected by midway of the cigar. Spice finally moves up a bit to be in balance. Dark chocolate and coffee notes join the profile midway in the 2nd/3rd.

Final/3rd
A dash of black pepper spice joins the profile. The flavor profile remains consistent through to the nub.

Overall
The Crooked Beard by TNT Cigars provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A well balanced profile with nice flavor. The burn & draw were spot on from the midway point to the nub.
