Appearance
A dark chocolate colored wrapper with a couple of thin veins. The seams are tightly wrapped and difficult to find. It has an oily sheen and a bit of tooth. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.
Aroma
Earth, dark chocolate, cedar and spice on the wrapper. Cedar, earth, dark chocolate and spice at the foot.
Prelight Draw
Cedar, earth, espresso, dark chocolate, plum and a mild spice.
1st
The initial draws bring notes of earth, cedar and a hint of spice. The draw is effortless. The burn has a slight wave but self corrects immediately. Espresso notes join the profile along with a pinch black pepper spice. Smoke production is off the charts. Strength is at medium+. The ash is medium gray and stacked. The ash was looking suspect but held firm and straight until removal.
2nd
The black pepper spice has faded. The dark chocolate and sweet plum notes are a nice addition. The spice is more like nutmeg. The finish is long with notes of cedar, earth, espresso, dark chocolate, plum and nutmeg spice. The body is full and rich. Strength is med/full.
Final/3rd
The complex, well balanced and flavorful profile rolls into the final/3rd. The blend is perfect as it creates plenty of salivation. The delicious profile continues right to the nub.
