Perdomo ESV Regente Sungrown 11/29/19

Appearance
A dark brown colored wrapper with a couple of prominent veins. The seams are tightly wrapped. The wrapper leaf has a nice oily sheen. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.

Aroma
Earth, cedar, molasses and a hint of spice on the wrapper. Cedar, dried fruit and spice at the foot.

Prelight
Cedar, molasses, espresso and spice.

1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar and earth with a mild cinnamon spice. The ash is medium gray and tight. The draw is perfect while the burn is a bit wonky. The ash dropped just before the end of the 1st/3rd.

2nd
Upon inspection of the working end I find a wide tunnel on the faster burning side which is the cause of the erratic burn. The burn has fully self corrected a 1/4” into the 2nd/3rd. Espresso notes join the profile. Strength is medium+. Smoke production is at the high range. Flavors are well balanced. The finish is long with notes of cedar, earth, espresso and paprika spice.

Final/3rd
What started as a mild cinnamon spice has evolved to a paprika spice. The flavorful profile remains consistent right to the nub.

Overall
The Perdomo ESV Regente Sungrown provides a very enjoyable smoking experience. A complex, well balanced and flavorful profile with a perfect draw and mildly erratic burn.
Well done Nick @PerdomoCigars
