Corona de GTO Natural Toro 3/31/19

 Appearance
A light brown colored wrapper with a few prominent veins. The seams are tightly wrapped for the most part. There is a nice light oil sheen. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.

Aroma
Tobacco, cedar and a mild spice on the wrapper. Brown sugar, cedar and mild cinnamon spice at the foot.

Prelight Draw
Cedar, brown sugar, black licorice, cinnamon spice.

1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar. About a 1/2” in light brown sugar notes join the profile. The draw is spot on. The burn is basically straight with a little wave. The ash is light gray and stacked. Some spice is developing in the form of cinnamon. Strength starts out mild/med. The ash held firm and straight until removal.

2nd
Smoke production is at the medium range. The spice is becoming more like a Paprika with a pinch of black pepper. Strength moves to medium. The finish is long with well balanced notes of cedar, toast, light brown sugar and a paprika/black pepper spice combo.

Final/3rd
The well balanced profile rolls into the final/3rd with a perfect draw and burn. The flavorful remains consistent right to the nub.

Overall
Corona de GTO Natural Toro provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A well balanced flavor profile with a perfect draw and burn.
A cigar you should try. Works well as a morning cigar even for a seasoned smoker.
Thanks again to Dr Oscar Rodriguez @GTOCigars for the samples for review.
