Oscar Valladares Ciseron Edition Toro 4/13/19

 Appearance
A medium brown colored wrapper with a couple of veins. The seams are tightly wrapped and only visible due to some mottling. It has a nice oily sheen. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.

Aroma
Cardboard on the wrapper. Cedar and brown sugar at the foot.

Prelight Draw
Cedar, dried fruit, earth, wheat and spice.

1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar, faint dried fruit and white pepper spice. The draw is perfect. The burn is a bit wavy. The ash is salt&pepper gray and stacked. Strength is medium. Smoke production is at the medium range. Toast and roasted peanuts join the profile. Some black pepper notes join the white pepper spice. The ash gets tighter as the cigar burns. The ash held firm till removal.

2nd
Upon inspection of the working end I find several tiny tunnels near the binder which are causing the wavy burn. At the halfway point of the cigar the burn fully self corrects. The blend is nicely balanced. Earth and wheat notes join the profile. The finish is long with notes of cedar, faint dried fruit, toast, roasted peanuts, earth, wheat and a white & black pepper spice combo.

Final/3rd
Cayenne pepper notes join the spice notes. The dried fruit notes have disappeared and a nice citrus note replaces it. The flavorful profile continues right to the nub.

Overall
The Oscar Valladares Ciseron Edition Toro provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A well balanced, complex and flavorful profile with a perfect draw and mildly erratic burn. Definitely a smoke you should try.
